Reflections on things that seem simple to some people and not so simple to others, but that our children should understand before they grow up.
Many times, our attitude is what decides whether we succeed in life or not. And when I say “succeed,” I mean in every area… social, family, professional, school, and even work.
I have always been a positive person, and today I want to share these reflections with you.
Friendship
We have had friends from different religions, ethnicities, economic levels, and more. All of them should have been treated the same, without discrimination. You never know how life will change.
Teach your children this phrase: “I may need a helping hand one day, and it might be one of my friends who reaches out to help me.”
Creativity
Many times, we become critical without realizing that we might be hurting someone’s creativity. What we say or do could stop someone from creating ever again.
Teach your children this phrase: “You may never see a rabbit without ears, but that shouldn’t stop you from drawing one.”
Positivity
Every day is different. Things don’t always go the way we want, but our chances improve depending on whether we are positive or negative. Every day we should face life with a positive attitude.
Teach your children this phrase: “Today will be a great day, and that’s why I’m going to smile.”
Health
Many people feel bad even when nothing is wrong. They push the suitcase even though they have the strength to lift it.
Teach your children this phrase: “Today I feel good, and I don’t plan on ruining it.”
Ethics
Since we are children, we meet people who cheat in games, in exams, and in anything they do. Many don’t ask for help; they cheat so they don’t feel left behind.
Teach your children this phrase: “You may cheat to get something, but you will never feel good about it.”
As adults, we must guide our children in the right way. We must prepare them for a future that is uncertain and unknown, but if we give them the right tools, their falls will be softer.
